Specialisation without compromise
Insolvency and bankruptcy law is not a side practice — it has been our main field since 1996. A depth of knowledge that general practice cannot match.
A law firm specialised in insolvency proceedings, administration of estates in bankruptcy, and comprehensive legal counsel. JUDr. Jiřina Lužová holds a special insolvency administrator licence — one of the very few attorneys in the Czech Republic with this authorisation.

Insolvency and bankruptcy law is not a side practice — it has been our main field since 1996. A depth of knowledge that general practice cannot match.
JUDr. Lužová is authorised to administer the estates of financial institutions and other entities for which the law requires a special licence — granted only after rigorous vetting by the Czech Ministry of Justice.
You are not a file number. Every case is led by an experienced lawyer who handles it from the first day to the close of proceedings. We respond quickly and communicate clearly.
From initial consultation through representation in insolvency proceedings to the acquisition of full receivables portfolios.
We represent creditors and debtors at every stage of insolvency proceedings — from filing the petition through claim registration to distribution of the estate. JUDr. Lužová also serves as a special-licence insolvency administrator.
Need to liquidate non-performing receivables or an entire portfolio quickly? We acquire individual claims and large bundles alike — quickly, discreetly, and on fair terms.
Three decades of practice means we also handle matters beyond insolvency. We advise private and business clients in the following areas:
Describe your situation — the first meeting is non-binding. Whether you are a debtor or a creditor, we assess whether and how we can help.
We review the documentation and assess the full picture — claims, assets, and risks — and map out the realistic options for the way forward.
We present a tailored plan: for debtors, discharge or reorganisation (and where there is no other way, bankruptcy proceedings); for creditors, enforcement and defence of claims or their acquisition.
We take over your case and represent you at every step — from filing the petition or registering a claim through to the close of proceedings.
An insolvency situation does not resolve itself. The sooner we begin, the more options remain. The first consultation is non-binding.
The law office of JUDr. Jiřina Lužová was established in 1994 and has, from the outset, focused on commercial law and insolvency. In 2009, with the new Insolvency Act entering into force, the firm was among the first to obtain the status of a special-licence insolvency administrator.
Over three decades, we have successfully concluded hundreds of insolvency proceedings — from individual cases to large corporate matters. Our clients include leading Czech corporations, entrepreneurs, and individuals who value the combination of expertise and a personal approach.
The firm is seated in the historic centre of Prague at Dušní 22, Prague 1, and is staffed by a team of more than ten specialised lawyers and expert advisers.

The first bank liquidation in the firm's portfolio. In 2018, the Regional Court in Brno declared insolvency and opened bankruptcy proceedings; JUDr. Lužová was appointed insolvency administrator. Experience from this case led the Czech National Bank to subsequently engage her for the liquidation of Sberbank CZ.
